Eraikuntzaren sektoreak energia-kontsumo globalean duen eragina dela eta, zehaztasuna, eraginkortasun konputazionala eta erabilerraztasuna orekatzen dituzten algoritmoak ikertzen dira. Estatistikako eta ikaskuntza automatikoko metodoak alderatzen dira, eta eskari termikoaren estimazioa hobetzeko gaitasuna nabarmentzen da. Garatutako ereduek aukera ematen dute hiri-inguruneetan energia berritzeko estrategiak ebaluatzeko, eta GIS plataformetan integratzen dira kasu-azterketa baten bidez.
