On October 9th, ENEDI participated in the “Webinar: Heat Networks: Utilization of Industrial Waste Heat and Biomass,” where researcher Pello Larrinaga presented the work “Analyzing the Potential of Waste Heat in the Basque Country Industry.”
Throughout the presentation, the possibility of obtaining industrial heat recovery potential using four models available in the literature was presented. The estimations reveal a significant opportunity to implement solutions that recover this wasted energy, especially in the steel and petrochemical sectors. The results obtained can also be used to develop public policies that promote the recovery of this waste heat.
The session, organized by the Zubigune Foundation and led by Ander Perales, also included other professionals and researchers who presented actual heat recovery projects, heat networks with waste heat recovery, and combined thermoelectric generation with waste heat recovery as thermal source.
